Approved Vendors for eFile Software and Substitute Paper Tax Forms

Each year, the Comptroller of Maryland tests and approves software and tax forms designed by software developers and vendors for filing Maryland individual and/or business tax returns through the Federal/State eFile Program or on computer-printed substitute paper forms. To avoid delays in processing, it's important that you use an officially approved state tax form and software vendor.

In the 2014 tax year, Maryland began offering a Comprehensive Maryland Software designation. Approved Comprehensive Software allows taxpayers to claim credits which must be filed electronically.

The links below list the approved eFile software vendors for individual and business taxpayers as well as a list of approved vendors and forms for substitute paper tax forms.  The list of approved eFile and Substitute Paper vendors for 2017 will be available in January 2018.
